Protect the Paws was founded by four women in 2011 after reading an article about a child who, in lieu of birthday gifts, asked family and friends to donate towards a Police K-9 bulletproof vest. We were so moved by this article that we wanted to do our part in protecting these K-9 heroes. Unfortunately, most departments lack funding for K-9 protective gear. It is our responsibility to "armor" these brave animals who serve and protect the streets and citizens of our communities.

To date Protect the Paws has raised funds for 151 vests supporting 36 law enforcement agencies in five states.

We like to have small vest presentations celebrating these superior K-9's who truly define the word "Hero".
